Sarah and I met Bill and Lee Anne Turner almost two years ago, and have since become great friends - playing music together, eating together, watching birds together, enjoying and experiencing life together. Before meeting Lee Anne, I knew very little about MS, both the disease and its effects on hundreds of thousands of people. Through our relationship I've come to understand the struggle that people with MS face - to be, literally, fighting for your life on a daily basis.
I am no athlete and, to me, this ride is incredibly daunting. But I'm riding this ride for the people who are unable to ride at all. I'm riding to raise awareness about this debilitating disease that, just a couple of years ago, I knew little about. I'm riding because I share in the vision of seeing a cure for MS.
