This day is a planned "Rest" Day for the more much more grueling one week Tour de Kentucky. When riding long distances day after day, on a "rest" day like this one, there is some value to doing a short "recovery" ride instead of taking a full day off. I am told that Tour de France cyclists ride 20 miles of so on their "rest" days as well. This and my gold bicycling helmet are the
only similarities I can draw between myself and Lance Armstrong!
Planned is a short 25 mile recovery ride on this "Rest Day", concluding at
Waterfront Park, a popular downtown Louisville attraction.
